Microneedling treats fine lines, scars and issues with skin texture, tone and color. It has fewer side effects and faster recovery times than laser resurfacing treatments. As a collagen induction therapy, microneeding creates hundreds of tiny, invisible micro-injuries in the top layer of your skin with fine needles. 

The micro-injuries created by a microneedling session at Thinique Skin & Wellness will encourage new skin cells to form by stimulating your body’s natural healing process, resulting in cell turnover, increased blood flow, and collagen and elastin production for smoother skin. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may also be added to your microneedling treatment to activate additional collagen production.

The SkinPen® is a microneedling device designed to help rebuild the skin’s extracellular matrix. Results last up to 6 months in many clients. The SkinPen® also promotes tissue remodeling without scarring. Noninvasive SkinPen® microneedling sessions take 30 minutes to an hour.
